Recently a large amount of changes have been made to the server, and more to come. The server was moved to Cloud hosting with Oracle instead of locally. This is to reduce cost, better performance, and better uptime.
In the near future a new SMP will be released. (The current one will remain for the foreseeable future) The new SMP will have plugins to make beating the game more challenging and will be on a regular reset cycle.
